How it began. Camila Hoffman, formerly Art Director at A|X Armani Exchange, formed Hue as a full service marketing agency in 2005.
As a creative marketing company, we believe that a solid brand strategy is fundamental to a successful design project. Therefore, every project we develop starts and ends with the brand. Over our history as a company, we have worked with international clients in fashion and retail, to community-based projects that support local charities. No matter the size or mission, we always bring an excitement for great design and our branding expertise.
Since 2005, Hue has worked with regional companies and international corporations including the hART of BC project, the Binghamton Bridge Run, Wedding Gown Preservation Company, 20 Hawley Street, PAST, e-Systems Group, and Visions Federal Credit Union to name a few.
As the art director for A|X Armani Exchange, a global fashion company, Camila participated in the worldwide repositioning process of the brand including the redesign of the corporate logo. She created the design concepts for every season and managed their deployment into all mediums including: print, web, in-store, and events worldwide. She worked at A|X Armani Exchange headquarters in NYC from 2000 until 2005.
From there, she formed the creative agency Hue in Binghamton, NY, and continued designing for A|X Armani Exchange as her first client. As the creative director for Hue, she has worked with various local organizations and businesses managing their marketing campaigns. She has developed and repositioned brands, creating unique voices that speak to the target audience. She has 12 years of experience in branding, print design, media buying, campaign development, and print production. She takes great pride in quality production and maintains close relationships with trusted printers to ensure the right result.
Camila was educated at Parsons School of Design in NYC and has a BFA in communications design. Her perspective on design can be seen in the work produced at Hue. She says it is about “creating something that has purpose, not just a product without meaning.”
Peter joined Hue in 2005 as a web developer. Since then he has been involved and overseen all web-related projects from web design / development to social media campaigns and online advertising projects.
Peter holds a BA from Hobart College in Geneva, NY where he was educated in literature and design. His current position as web director reflects his ability to adapt and think from a holistic perspective, seeing all parts. He has proven to be a vital component to our success.
Peter believes any design is possible. In his words, "it's more about finding the right design. staying current with the progress of technology has enabled me to implement my purpose and stay inspired."
inspiration. growing up in texas and upstate new york, as well as traveling to over thirty states and several other countries, the different cultures and environments of the places i've been have shown me feelings of people, places, and experiences. these feelings are stored as images and inspiration in my memory. besides pushing me to see the world and striving to continuously expand my experiences, my visual interest led me to binghamton university to study design. throughout my studies, i have also found inspiration in both viewing and creating fine art, as well as learning more about people, thoughts, feelings, and interactions while studying psychology.
implementation. i've always been an observer, fascinated by the images of the world and the stories they told me. in preschool, i was the child telling my classmates stories from my favorite books. though i had not yet learned to read, the pictures always carried the message for me. when i create, my mission is to make my designs carry messages like the images i've always seen, making them beautiful and meaningful. i try to explore as many media as possible, always growing in fine arts as well as in the use of design programs and technology. every approach adds a new perspective and adds to my design process. i could make an elaborate drawing and doodle ideas all day, but ultimately the right design carries its message in the simplest form, without anything extra getting in the way.
