Better Connection
Better Connection was a new initiative to gage the connectivity status and promote better services in the Southern Tier 8 Region Region. We were tasked in developing a platform to engage the public to participant and upload information to gather data.

The Challenge
The challenge was to get people to participate in this data collection and share with their neighbors. Nobody is excited to fill out a form just because we ask them to. It was imperative to create something that grabs their attention and ignites engagement.
Our Approach
We accomplished this by creating a full, disgruntle narrative something that many rural residents feel when it comes to connectivity. By attaching this frustrated emotion, it incited many to laugh and want to engage with the program.
The Results
The Better Connection platform drove significant public participation in broadband data collection across the eight-county region — producing policy-grade connectivity data for regional leaders and state agencies.
